- Notes
- Ida went to Kitukiro to introduce CEP lessons. This is a brand new village that Ida has started working with. The village lost two people which affected the attendance.
Ida asked the community to choose a day that is convenient.
The community sat and decided that Wednesday is the best day, because Friday is a worship day for Muslim brothers and sisters. Monday is market day.The time is 2:00pm. Ida told the community what to expect and went through the lessons they will be learning in the next four months.
The community made some few laws to govern them while learning.
1. When the teacher starts teaching, all phones in silent mode.
2. Greetings after the teacher finishes the lesson.
3. No woman is supposed to be cooking for the teacher because all should be in class. Ida was happy for the community because they knew how greeting takes a lot of time.
She encouraged the community to keep time to save her from going back to Jinja after dark. Ida gave a memory verse in form of a song. Akatala kange which is interpreted as this little light of mine. It started drizzling Ida and the students had to leave for Jinja to avoid getting stuck on the way.
