Bible Lesson 2: Jesus Lord of everything
Notes
Ida went to Nabikenge and taught about " Jesus lord of everything " Ida focused on what the community pointed out as one of their fears; the "Evil spirits ".She shared a story of Jesus casting demons out from the man who was possessed for many years. Nabirye Margaret read from Luke 8:26-38. Then Ssegonga testified that he once thought that demons had invaded his home and went to a witch doctor who told him that it was his mother who was trying to bewitch him. Ssegonga realized that the situation was worsening and then his mother he thought was bewitching his family, took the children to the clinic and found out that they had typhoid. They got proper treatment and Ssegonga and his mother are in good terms. Kiribati asked if Jesus is one the ancestors? Ida asked Nabirye to read Luke 8:32. If the demons begged Jesus not to kill them but save them, don't they think He is lord over them? The community thanked Kibo for opening their eyes to see clearly. Naisanga of water user committee members said that she has learnt that Jesus is lord over everything and once we put all our trust in him, witch doctors will not rob them anymore. Ida concluded by reminding them that Jesus is the lord of lords, King of kings and Ancestor of ancestors. The memory verse for the day was Luke 8:28.
