- Notes
- Enock visited this village to mobilize the community residents to come for the upcoming hand washing campaign (demonstration) where we shall be triggering the community about hand washing. They also checked on the sanitation improvements and construction for standard facilities. As they walked around, they saw some good and well maintained shower areas, dish racks, latrine presence and maintenance, they also were emphasising on the use of ash inside the latrine, also to remind the residents on the diseases which result due to poor sanitation say cholera, dysentery, diarrhea, trachoma, typhoid and many more diseases. The chairman and VHTs also encouraged the community members whom they found to take good care of all the facilities. We then focused more on the residents who up to now have not yet completed the construction of their latrine structures. They say they are waiting to harvest this season then they will be able to construct good standard facilities. There are 5 new pits which have been replaced with the old latrines which broke during the heavy rainfall. Most of the homes visited have clean compounds and this means their is good use of rubbish pits. As they continued walking home to home , they also saw some 6 new dish racks which are in use, smeared compounds and good kitchen areas. The community members appreciated the good work that Kibo is doing with them and always giving testimonies about the benefits of having proper latrines in their homes.

- Village Notes
- There are five families at the moment which have pits but they have not yet constructed the structure on them. They told Enock that during the harvesting period, they will have some money to buy materials like cement and sand as well as brick to build strong foundations and proper walls to ensure privacy. The pits are about 20-35ft deep so they need good materials to use instead of repeating the same work over again.
