Notes
Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on sanitation and hygiene improvement, in the section of the trading centre. He walked around that section with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. They went to check on those homes who are still working on their sanitation facilities like latrines, dish racks, kitchens, rubbish pits and shower facilities. Generally the community members have worked so hard on their sanitation facilities. Some of the homes visited were; Firimoni Bakaki he dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep it’s under construction, Fred Mutoto, he was so stubborn about the sanitation facilities since kibo started working in ltuba Namalowe, but good enough he is digging a new pit latrine it’s now 4ft deep, Ziyadi Mulinda constructed a strong dish rack, Yofisa lsiko is digging a new pit latrine it’s now 18ft deep, and he told them that he is still working on his pit to make it 25ft deep. They were encouraging those who had worked on their sanitation facilities about standardisation and maintenance. It started raining as they were walking around, so they stopped there. They walked in 10 homes.
