Village Notes
Ida went to Ikumbya to observe as John Wankuluna teaches about Anger management. As Wankuluna was still teaching, it started drizzling and people started running going back to their homes to remove their produce from the compound to avoid being rained on. Ida then took this opportunity and went with Jerimina to her house to settle some marital issues. Jerimina' s husband cheated on her but wanted to ask for forgiveness in the presence of Ida who taught about God's forgiveness. On this day when Ida taught about God's forgiveness, Jerimina stood and forgave her husband of what he did. When they reached home her husband begged for forgiveness which impressed Jerimina. Jerimina's husband has been calling Ida several times to go and be a witness when reconciliation is taking place. Ida asked John to go and help in that scenario but Jeriminas husband refused and also John said that he has never done counselling. So Ida got the opportunity to go at Jerimina's house. Ida asked Jerimina to pray and her husband went in the kitchen and brought food. He knelt down and washed his wife's hands , he asked the wife to forgive him and promised never to do it again. He also asked Ida to pray for them to have peace and harmony in their marriage. It was a great moment seeing the two people reconcile! They hugged and smiled. Ida encouraged them to continue with that love and always remember that God loves them very much and is ready to forgive any time. Ida prayed for them and left for Jinja, but before entering the car, the community had gathered and were celebrating because of Jerimina and her husband's reunion. They said that they are happy for their friends just as the angels are happy for that one family.
