Notes
Harriet, Jeska and Tape found only the chairperson at the meeting. The chairperson said that most people are busy in the gardens harvesting Ground nuts of which they could not postpone because their ground nuts were germinating in the gardens and needed to be harvested. later other members also turned up for the meeting. They had already gathered the grass at the home where the demonstration stove was to be built. The group together with Kibo staff collected the dirt. Kibo staff watched participants as they mixed grass and dirt at the ratio of 1:2 respectively of which they did it perfectly. Kibo staff and the visitors joined them to stamp the dirt. Kibo staff guided the group and they successfully built one stove. Kibo staff gave the group an assignment to build one stove on their own that Kibo will look at in the next meeting and grade them. The community was very excited and thanked Kibo for endeavouring to teach them despite them being slow learnerss. They also promised to build one on their own before the next Kibo meeting. Harriet also encouraged them to stay working together as a team if they are to succeed in any development program.
