Today Manuela and Lorna gave out 60 new exercise books and after the lesson the pupils cooperated with their teacher and collected the books so that it can not get lost or be stolen by other non Life Skills pupils.

To promote good communication among pupils
Manuela and Lorna went to kigalama primary school to teach the pupils about communication styles, Manuela started by asking the pupils about the previous lesson, pupils were able to share what they learnt last week, after that Manuela introduced the communication styles to the pupils and she asked the pupils if any body could be knowing what passive, Assertive and Aggressive style means, the class was quiet meaning no idea, then Manuela explained to them all the communication styles and their behaviour, while Manuela was teaching the pupils she would call any volunteers to the front to explain each style according to his or her understanding and in the simple language that they can understand. During this lesson 7 pupils participated in trying to explain each communication style to their fellow pupils which was good.
- By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to know different meaning of communication styles.
- By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to understand the best communication styles and adopt it in their daily lives.
By the time Manuela and Lorna reached the school they found pupils in their class, the two went to the headmasters office to sign in the visitors book, while in that office the deputy told them that they have missed to see Beatrice and the family members. They had come to school to inform the teachers about the delay of Beatrice reporting to school, since their was some gossip among pupils that she is married yet she is not, she is just there for treatment, after getting that information Manuela and Lorna went to class to teach the pupils , Manuela and Lorna taught the pupils about communication styles as stated above. It was pupils centered in the way that after Manuela teaching she would call for any volunteers to come and explain what she has taught to fellow pupils , this exercise was good.
Manuela and Lorna taught 106 pupils, these pupils were able to understand what they have learnt today basing on the presentation pupils did in class trying to explain each behaviour after Manuela teaching them.
Challenges / solution
Some pupils are still shy, but Manuela and Lorna are trying to make sure that they help those so that they can become confident in class and in everything they do.
Manuela and Lorna told pupils that if they want to read their books they can go and get their books and after reading they can take it back.
