Notes
Today Enock walked in some homes in the trading center to check on the progress of latrine construction, dish racks, kitchen areas, hand washing facilities, shower areas, rubbish pits since last week he met with some of the residents and has been teaching them the benefits and importance of all the facilities. He saw some good facilities in many homes. The people have greatly understood the values of constructing good standard facilities and thus saving them time to be productive in there gardens and also improve on the standards of living in their homes. There are few cases of diarrhoea in many homes than before. There is a family which had a latrine but due to heavy rainfall, it collapsed. He met them when they had already dug 15ft deep and had constructed a strong concrete slab. They are yet to construct on it in few days when the slab drys. Enock was so impressed with the work done and this shows that this family has understood the importance of a latrine. Enock continued to encourage all the people in this section to always use ash in there latrines. Make good drainage systems on the shower areas to keep it dry. They also met one of the residents constructing a new kitchen in his home.
