Notes
Manuela and Lorna went to kigalama primary school and their plan was to first review the previous lesson then teach the new lesson which was about Attack and Avoid as a behaviour during communication. Overview When Manuela and Lorna reached the school, they found pupils in class, Manuela started by asking the pupils about the previous lesson, pupils were able to share what they learnt last week , Manuela would ask the pupils questions and they would answer which was good, after this exercise, Manuela involved the pupils into role play about what Assertive,Aggressive and Positive behavior is, 8 pupils participated in this role play which was good, but before that Manuela and Lorna demonstrated in front of the pupils then pupils also got courage and demonstrated too, this was really good after that pupils were evaluated by Lorna to access their understanding about the previous lesson. After going through the above exercise,Manuela and Lorna went on and introduced the new lesson, Manuela started by asking the pupils about what an Attacking situation and Avoiding means in local language before she could continue teaching the pupils, she wanted the pupils to understand what they are going to learn. After that Manuela taught the pupils about Attack and Avoid as one way of communicating, after that Manuela called for volunteers pupils to also demonstrate the behaviour of Attacking and Avoiding situation , Manuela asked the pupils to sight an example where they normally see such behavior taking place, the pupils said that they sometimes see that happening at the well, then Manuela called some pupils to come demonstrate , they demonstrated ,4pupils participated and it was fun.
