- Martin went to Kagulu village to check on the progress of the sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, dish racks, shower areas etc. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and one VHT in the lower section of the village. They were guiding the residents to construct good standards facilities and proper maintenance, depth of the latrines and size of the facilities. In that section they saw Seven homes are working so hard on their sanitation facilities like Magidu Mutebe dug a new pit 10ft deep, he promised Martin and the group that he is going to construct it in Five days, Emanuel Kadambudha’s latrine 15ft deep it’s under construction with bricks which is so good, Awali Wele since kibo started working in Kagulu village, he was so stubborn about the sanitation facilities, and he was having only the house. Good enough he is digging a new pit latrine it’s now 5ft deep, which is so good, William Matayo constructed a strong kitchen with bricks, and his wife was also happy because of that kitchen. They were sensitizing the residents to construct a proper drainage system in the shower areas as well as teaching them the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their latrines. They walked in 38 homes.
