Notes
Harriet, Jeska and Tape reached in the village 1hour before the meeting time. They decided to walk around the village to see whether participants have maintained their sanitation facilities. It was very interesting to see that all the homes they reached had kitchens, shower areas, dish racks, latrines among others. Also they also observed that most homes are scarcely populated looks to be big. On that day they were registering LC1 candidates and some people had accompanied their candidates to go and be registered. Though Alex had planned to meet only the local leaders of this village and introduce to them Health and Safe kitchen program so that they can set, time date and venue for the next meeting some people turned because they thought its the right time for them to hear from their candidates. Harriet introduced to them the goals and objectives for the stove program and they sounded to be very interested. They asked Harriet and other staff in the program to schedule a plan and meet the entire village about the goal and objectives of the stove program. It was also nice to see three contesting chairpersons LC1 sitting together discussing about development programs other than politics. Alex also reminded them to be cooperative among themselves as well as Kibo staff so that they can also feel encouraged to work with them
