Notes
Alex B,Nate and the leaders of the group of Bupaluka checked on how the members had dug the holes and filled them with the manure. We started with Mutooto Saul who had dug few holes and promised to dig more and fill them with the manure.Mutooto is the chairperson of the group and his home is made up of a big family. Those that were checked on in number were eleven, four ladies and seven men. The members digging was good but the component of the manure mixture was not good. This was discovered as Alex dug out what they had filled in the holes, to see the texture of the manure. Alex together with the group did the mixing together filling back the manure to the beam/ top of the hole. The spacing of the holes some did good and some did not make the right measurements from one hole to another. Those that were close to another were advised to leave them and dig others. Those that were dug near the boundary to their neighbor, were advised to plant musizi since they do not spread wide the branches like the mvule . The members were asking when the trees will be delivered to them for planting.Alex told them to be ready with the holes. Alex B and the leaders decided that they will continue to check up with the rest of the members for them to have good holes with manure and good spacing. Nate was busy taking photos as Alex was re-digging the holes to find out how the members filled the holes with the manure. He also took different kind of photos, like of houses, animals and crops.
