Notes
Abraham met thirty two Bukoma B community members and they checked some homes trying to see the holes they have dug and found many who had not put manure and mix with the soil. Some had already dug the holes but closer to each other, they did not follow the instructions which says it has to be thirty meters from a tree to another tree and they had made ten meters apart which not recommendable, they were advised to plant a few not many when they are close to each other. There is one member who wanted more than five Mvule trees and asked Abraham if it is possible for him to plant many trees than his colleagues but Abraham told him to bring it in their meeting as a group and try to see if he can plant more and also told them the reason why they have to plant a few is the way they are going to take care of them because if you plant many you may not take care properly. The chairman said that the reason why they want him to plant not more than five is they want many members to be involved in the program not only few. This member agreed to plant five and now he is going to finish mixing manure and fill the holes. They asked if these trees will be sprayed and Abraham said yes, they will use a chemical called tafuga and it helps to kill pests that disturb the Mvule when it is young but after one year it can survive. Those who finished will be mixing the soil with manure and those who have not finished will be finishing and also doing the same as their colleagues.
