- Notes
- Abraham met thirty six Ikumbya community members and the chairperson thanked Kibo for teaching them about a Good Samaritan because it has helped to lower down the pressure of political exercises which left most of the members divided. She said that since they learnt that they need to think about helping others not to hurt them, that has made the group to continue working together. The exercise of electing local leaders took three days and yet it was meant to take one day but because each day there was a disagreement, it was post-poned to another day but all in all she thanked the members for continuing to love Kibo programs. She said they started writing their constitution but they ddnt have something to guide them. Sometime back they wrote one as a village but where they had kept it the home caught fire and everything was burnt to ash.
Abraham told the meeting that he has come with a copy of the constitution to guide them but not to copy and paste because this village is different from Ikumbya village and also what they want to do may be different from what is in the constitution. Abraham advised them to continue being creative. They hope in the next meeting they will have something written down and they will discuss a way forward.
