Notes
Today Enock and Martin went to this village to meet with the new elected LC1s of the six villages that make up kagulu as well as meeting with the VHTs to set up a date for a general meeting with all the residents. During the visit, we also teamed up to walk in homes which are not having latrines but they are constructing them. We saw one resident one newly built latrine with two room. As we walked around we encouraged the residents to come for the upcoming meeting and mobilizing to attend in person. The resident seemed to be happy for the upcoming meeting where we are going to be talking about the set date for the accomplishment of the program as they missed to set it during the triggering session. The meeting will also include the government officials from the district and sub-county to also continue encouraging the residents to construct good facilities. There a good standard facilities which have been completed in the trading center. The people have been really busy in their gardens and slowed the progress of latrine construction and other facilities. There have been some good smeared latrines, shower areas that really look so good. The community residents have embraced the program and will to improve on all the facilities in their homes. All the leaders have come to board to take the lead in their community. The main efforts was put on all the leaders to first construct and finish their missing facilities in homes so that they can start walking around in this community members and they have to be exemplary. All the chairman’s are willing to work with the kibo stuff to improve the sanitation of their community.

Village Notes
The residents are using the pick axes which kibo Gabe them to dig new pit latrines for the home which lost their latrines due to heavy rainfall. There is a home for a while they used to run away because they didn’t have a Latrine and never had any explanation to give to us. He finally completed digging his latrine with two rooms on it.

3733 Emmanuel Kadambuda is a father of 5 and married to two women. For a while his family didn’t have a latrine to use, they practiced open defection. It took us multiple trips going to his home to sensitize him the importance of have a proper latrine. He has completed the construction of his new Latrine of 20ft deep with good structure.
