- Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. From the trading center towards the borehole up to the upper section of the village. He walked around that section with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members.They were so encouraged to see that even those who were still behind on their sanitation facilities, have worked so hard on their sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, dish racks, kitchens and shower facilities. In that section they saw seven members who have worked so hard on their home facilities like ziyadi Mulinda‘s latrine was broken by the heavy rain, but it’s now maintained, Micheal Patasi, before kibo started working in this village,he had nothing on the side of the sanitation facilities, but now he dug a new pit latrine 20ft deep it’s already constructed, and he constructed a strong kitchen with bricks. He is appreciating kibo because of those facilities. Abudu Salamu promised Martin and the group that he is going to construct a shower area in few days, Sulaiman Bavekuno who’s having the best latrine in ltuba Namalowe, is an old man, but he is also constructing a new dish rack. They were so happy to see an old woman Egenensi Nakasango Batuli encouraging her grandsons as they dug for her a new pit latrine 25ft deep, and it’s now under construction with bricks and cement. In addition to that the community members of the nearby village called Namuwondo are still requesting kibo to go and help them on their sanitation facilities.
