Notes
Enock went to this community to check on the progress of sanitation and hygiene improvements. He focused on the homes which have pits but had promised to complete the construction of the structures. His focus was mostly on the progress of constructing hand washing stations in homes which have latrines and using a good example of one of the best hand washing facilities done in this village. They encouraged them to use strong pole to make tippy tap and promote it to also their children to learn the benefits and values. This will help them to improve their health if the continuously take the initiative of promoting good sanitation, washing their hands neatly and use soap or ash. There are some community members who have picked the idea of hand washing and they have managed to construct strong hand washing stations. The community leaders are also helping to teach their fellow residents how to construct a good hand washing stations in their homes. One of the VHTs has also constructed a good and strong hand washing with good pole. He said he wants his hand washing station to also be a good example to the rest of the community that residents can come to his home. The way they have constructed their hand washing stations are movable in away that they can be carried to any location and even though they have termites around, they can’t eat the pole because these hand washing stations can be moved to different locations. There are also some two new latrine that have just been completed. I encouraged them to smear them and use ash to always chase flies out of their latrines

Village Notes
There is a lady who really maintains her facilities very well. She is an inspiration, I’ve told all her neighbors to learn from her and maintain their facilities.

3829 Iduma Naiganga is a resident of Bukudumila village who has really been so inspiring to the rest of the residents in this community. She told me that she is able to take showers during anytime of the day and after her Garden work. She smeared her shower room so well and promised to also teach her neighbors how to smear. I was so impressed with her good work.
