- Notes
- Ida went to Ikumbya to meet with the community since she had posed working there. The stove program introduced Ida in this village after they had finished teaching them how to build stoves. Ida started teaching her lessons but realized that they were in need of clean water than anything else. She reported to the office and the country director went and saw how bad the need was. For sure they were in much need but Clts was needed again more than water. WASH program went and swept every corner and Ikumbya is shining now. Before they got the borehole, they could not listen to anything at all. So Ida had to stop for sometime until the problem of water was finished.
Today Ida went to meet the community and resume lessons that had stopped. She first reviewed the first and second, out the number that attended only six women and two men remembered.
Ida just knew the majority forgot since it took a while.she started from the beginning .The first lesson is always "Jesus the light of the world. She told the story of an old woman who tried to participate in an event on their village and won the prize!
Surprisingly most of them started telling the story.
Ida started on lesson two which is Jesus Lord of every thing. She used the story of Jesus calming the storm. She asked which storm are they going through ,they listed many as: weak leaders, jealous, thieves, drunkerdness adultery and etc. It was getting late and Ida stopped from there . At least now she knows where to start from.
Ida will talk about the storms they listed and together with the community read from the Bible to see how our fore fathers dealt with those problems.
