- Notes
- Ida went to Kitukiro and taught about God’s Forgiveness. She asked if there is any one who has ever forgiven and what was it?
Naisikwe raised her hand and said that she forgave her husband. Ida asked what did the husband do? Naisikwe said that her husband cheated on her but instead of asking for forgiveness,he beat her and ordered her to pack all her things and leave. And that what she had to do to save her life. After two years the husband came and begged for forgiveness which was not easy, But after the long talk with the girls parents, Naisikwe forgave her husband.
Nangobi said that she thinks that she will never forgive her co-wife, because since she stole her husband, the kids stopped going to school because they don’t have school fees.
Ida told a story of the un forgiving servant. A king had two servants, one owed some money to the king. He was supposed to pay back after a period of time. The servant failed to pay back after the given period. The king called the servant and reminded him of the debt. The servant begged to be forgiven and be given more time, the king agreed and forgave the servant all the money he owed him. The servant thanked the king for saving him and sparing his family.
As the forgiven servant walked out, few steps only he found his fellow servant whom he had borrowed some little to, he ordered him to pay back immediately. The fellow servant didn’t have any money at the moment and begged for forgiveness. The forgiven servant refused to forgive the co-worker. He kicked his fellow servant and took him to prison. The community was angry with what the forgiven servant did to his friend and yet the king forgave him and his family completely. The community went and told the king all the story and the king ordered the forgiven servant to be put in prison and all his family.
Sarah Kibuuka asked the community what they had learned. Swaibu said that when you don’t forgive ,you too will never be forgiven.
Ida thanked whoever contributed in the class and encouraged them to forgive others however hard it is sometimes.
