- David Falcon and Steven were in Bukudumira to carry out the process of the borehole repair. When the Kibo staff reached the village, they found when the district hand pump mechanic kabugo had already opened up the borehole as it was earlier on communicated to him by the Kibo staff authorizing him to do the opening in order to save time. The Kibo staff reached the village when kabugo had already removed all the internal parts out of the borehole kabugo carried out the entire process while the water user committee members were around and the majority of the residents . The Kibo staff joined him ,they called for the committee members and showed them their new borehole parts which they had bought for them . The residents were so happy and the chairman who was a moslem first played for the Kibo,s long live while saving in the communities around the busoga region. Then later after wards the repair process started and the following are the parts which they replaced,the top rod,head assembly , cylinder and new bolts. After fixing back the above mentioned parts the Kibo staff and hand pump mechanic ,tested the borehole by pumping it . what they realized after pumping was that the flow of the water had increased more than it was before. They were all happy because the problem was solved. The whole repair process costed the Kibo staff 950000 shillings After all that the Kibo staff requested on the behalf of the village how best the borehole would be pumped.kabugo went ahead and demonstrated how best the borehole would be pumped,by not pumping while knocking up and down,not lifting yourself on the handle of the borehole. After the demonstration process the Kibo staff appreciated the hand pump mechanic ,and also continued advising them to take all the instructions and make good use of them not forgetting to continuing contributing money towards their borehole account always. The treasurer of the borehole told Kibo staff that they will be continuing contributing towards their borehole account on addition to the 250000 shillings they had as their account balance. On addition to that after the repair process Falcon,David and Steven moved in about three homes monitoring the hygiene and sanitation status. Out of the three homes they moved to they noted that they all didn’t have the fire saving stoves but the rest of the other facilities were in good status .Before they would continue with the home to home movement, the rains started and they had to stop from there. In general the the hygiene status of the entire village was good and the committee members promised to maintain the required standards.
