The community has greatly shown a very big sense of responsibility and sustainability towards all the activities that were started by Kibo group in this community as it’s sen through the Mvule group and the hygiene standards according to the recent evaluation that was carried out in this community. Also this community taught their neighbors in Nawandyo B how to build stoves and this did not need Kibo to go in Nawandyo B to teach stoves

Nawandyo A was recently divided up into two. Nawandyo A and Bukubembe Village. However they are still working together in most of the areas like sharing one borehole.

Notes
The community managed to come together and selected a new water user committee without Kibo staff being available but only Alex did encourage them to bare in mind that gender balance is put into consideration which the community exactly did when they were selecting the new water committee. The new water user committee that was selected amongst them were; The chairman is Adhikuseka Joseph, vice chairperson is Nabirye Kamuyati, secretary is Bakali Mulindi, treasurer is Kubura Azena, caretaker is Fahima Muhammad, mobilizer is Namulondo Hadijah and the Advisor is Gasemba muhamed who as is the LC1. In other wards the committee is comprised of 4 women and 3 men. Also the women take up key positions like the treasurer, mobilizer and the vice chairperson of the committee. Alex then carried out a training of the new water user committee discussing about their position roles and responsibilities. The committee members were very happy to learn that a water user committee also is assigned responsibilities and roles. It was something very new since the borehole was drilled, no one ever talked about a committee under going a training as Kibo has done. The chairman LC 1 of the village appreciated Kibo group for ensuring that the community understands the importance of their roles and responsibilities and borehole ownership. This step is very important as it for surely promotes sustainability and local borehole ownership. The community has already raised 200,000/= towards their borehole account. Kibo will go a head to repair this borehole after purchasing the required borehole parts.
