- Notes
- Ida went to Sinde and taught about feeding chickens. Before the lesson, the community was still building stoves on their own. They woke up early at 6:00am and built the old woman’s home then at noon they started at Namusogas home. Ida and Nate found when the building process was in gear.
After building the second stove they all agreed to go to the borehole where they always meet.
Isaac Gusino opened with a prayer and immediately Ida started with reviewing. Most of them answered well and that led to the new lesson.
Ida asked the secretary to write down all the recipe such that they will be reading and helping each other since the majority can’t read nor write.
The type of food we mixed is
Growers marsh which is for chickens from week eight to the time you sell or eat them also for male birds.
Below is the recipe
Growers marsh
Maize brand. 70kgs
Cotton seed cake. 20kgs
Silver fish. 07kgs
Shells (masonko). 02kgs
Pre mix (general purpose). 1/2kg
Salt. 1/2kg
Ida explained the food values in each ingredient. At this moment the majority were dosing. They were very tired because from 6am they were busy stomping the stoves mud and building. Ida saw that it was wise to stop and let the community go and rest.it was great seeing the community work on their own.
