Notes
Martin went to Ituba Namalowe to check on sanitation and hygiene improvements. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHT to those homes that were still working on their sanitation facilities. He was supposed to go with Enock, but Tom requested that Enock go with him to Kisiro since that’s a new village. In those homes that are still behind, they have worked so hard to improve their sanitation and hygiene facilities. Out of the 15 homes that were behind, 6 of them have worked on their sanitation facilities, like latrine construction, dish racks, kitchens, and shower facilities. Martin and the group were encouraging those homes about the standards, maintenance, and smearing to make their homes clean. After that, Martin and the group were encouraging them about the ash in the latrines to eliminate flies in their latrines. When they were walking around they met an old woman named Agenes Nakasango Batuli. She was on a boda boda and they had an accident a couple days before, so her arm was broken. Even though she had gotten in an accident and had a broken arm, she still completed all of her facilities. She asked Martin if she could get assistance for her injury. Martin told the woman he would go back to Jinja and see if there was help. Martin and the group walked in 35 homes.
