Other Committee Notes
Buluvu village has got now two deep wells and one shallow well. The two deep wells are the ones that Kibo is working on directly and worked together with the community members to form two water user committees to manage both wells. One located in the lower part of the village in a section called Buyangu, the committee there has gone through all the necessary steps after Kibo group completed drilling this new borehole. The other borehole located in the upper part of the village is one borehole that Kibo group partnered with the community to repair. They have gone through a series of training sessions and this visit was meant to sum up the training for the upper borehole committee. However little was done since the village people were planning a funeral in the neighboring village. Alex together with committee members agreed that they would organize for another day to complete the training. Alex also told the water user committee to continue mobilizing the community when the next Kibo program comes in the community. Health and safe kitchens is expected to join very soon and the community members were told to be very cooperative as they have been with those that have been working with them.
Ws Notes
This upper borehole was drilled by the government back in 2005.
