Ws Notes
David and Steven were in the village . Their intention of going there was to follow up on the 4 homes which were left without having toilet in their homes as well as their boreholes status and contributions. When David and Steven reached the village they first visited mr mwanja Nelson,s home one of the most active member on the water and sanitation committee. Fortunately mr Mwanja Nelson was present in his home waiting for the Kibo staff. He joined the Kibo staff and led them to to the the borehole first. At the first borehole In the-lower section of the village, the Kibo staff appreciated the members for how they had taken good care and ownership of their borehole. From the lower section they headed to the other borehole in the upper section because they wanted to also monitor its status. The Kibo staff were so happy because it was also been kept so good. After that they went to the homes which were left without having toilets in their homes . David ,Steven and mr mwanja Nelson went to check on the homes which were left without latrines by the time the Kibo staff carried out the repair process. When they reached Moses,s home he had dug his latrine and it was left to be roofed. The second home they visited was for mwanja Nelson he had also dug and constructed his latrine. From there they visited Yasoni wanyanja,s home he had also constructed his latrine . The last home they visited to was for Basoga Antonio,s . David was so much impressed by Basoga Antonio the dam man who constructed his latrine to the government standard .when they were talking to him he was so happy also because he had a nice latrine in his home. The Kibo staff kept on encouraging everyone in the 5 homes they moved to. By encouraging them to maintain the required standards of hygiene and sanitation. On addition to that they went and met the two treasurers of the two boreholes in the two sections. They wanted to know the status of their borehole accounts. The treasurer of one of the borehole told the Kibo staff that they added on 140000 shillings what the Kibo staff left as their borehole account balance. And the other treasurer also told the Kibo staff that they had 190000 shillings. The Kibo staff appreciated the two treasurers on behalf of the committee for continuing to contribute towards their borehole accounts . They were also advised by the Kibo staff to always hold sanitation and borehole meetings in order to assess their progress .
