Today after teaching about how to prevent and treat burns,Ida also talked about the story of a Good Samaritan.Ida didn't know that there was a fire victim few steps away. But Mr.Wakiso stood up and asked the community how they were to help that woman who fell in fire. They all suggested that "lets all do what we can " They started contributing money to help the victim which totaled to 8500sh. And others are going to help with fetching water, collecting firewood and cooking for the family.

Notes
Ida went to Naibowa and taught about "God's love " She used a story of the Good Samaritan and later Ida taught about the prevention and treatment of burns. She first asked the community to tell her the causes before talking about prevention. The community listed these: 1 Negligence, 2 Drunkardness 3 Witchcraft 4 Jealousness.etc Ida asked what can the community do to prevent burns. They listed; Smear feaces and urine, apply dirt on the wound as Jesus put dirt on a blind man's eyes in the Bible, Put rabbits hair and various local herbs. Ida discouraged the community from putting feaces ,urine, dirt. Instead they should take the victims to health centers. Burns are classified according to depths,First degree which is normally superficial causing the skin to inflamate;second degree which which is deeper and more painful with blisters on the skin;third degree normally deeper involving all skin layers causing damage to nerves& blood vessels and appear white and leathery but painless. Location is crucial such as face, nose, and mouth etc. middle body involving chest, arms, and stomach tend to affect breathing of victims and lower body parts like legs which affects blood flow and complete circulation.
