- Notes
- Tape,Jessica and Suzan were in the village with the purpose of building a demonstration stove. They arrived there and found the community members already gathered at one of their members home with materials in place.
Briefly Kibo staff and the members held a short meeting whereby they agreed to build at least three stoves for their members who had already organized their materials.
They formed two groups which involved both men and women, elderly and young.
This was important because it saved time and encouraged both men and women to participate whereas it also created space for the members to master the skills of building the stove.
Together the members and the Kibo staff worked and stamped the dirt while singing songs of joy until all the three demonstration stoves were built successfully.
During the demonstration process, Kibo staff kept on encouraging the participants to keep on practicing building the stoves on their own for good perfection. They also encouraged the members to keep smearing their kitchen, stoves and bathrooms.
There after the meeting came to an end where Kibo staff thanked all the members for their participation and unity and set a date for a next meeting.
