Ws Notes
David and Steven were in he village to follow up on the homes whose pit latrines were destroyed by the strong rains. While in the village they were joined by mr mpata the adviser on the borehole and sanitation committee to visit the two homes which were affected. The first home they visited to was mr Waiswa Godfrey,s whom they found constructing walls around his new dug pit latrine. David and Steven were so much encouraged with mr Waiswa Godfrey because he had constructed anew pit after the old one being destroyed.
From there they visited the new home of mr Muzimba Moses who had also finished the construction of new pit latrine . David encouraged him to smear his latrine as well as encouraging him to use ash.To avoid more flies from coming around because his rubbish pit was close to his new toilet.
David, mpata and Steven visited the borehole in the lower section of the village in B . The Kibo staff wanted to know the status of the borehole in B . They found out that the residents had taken full care and responsibility for their borehole. When David asked them about the status of their borehole account. The treasurer told them that they had less money which was totaling to 80000 shillings. Therefore David encouraged the committee members who were around to always continue contributing money-towards their borehole account. Since what the money they had wasn’t enough as their borehole account balance.
The Kibo staff also encouraged them to always maintain the required hygiene and sanitation standards .
