- There is a woman suffering from goiter who has been thinking that someone bewitched her. She even said that sickness doesn’t need anything like medical medicines. Ida asked the church leader from Bupeni to talk and convince her go to the hospital. She finally accepted and went to Nawaikoke health center. The first question she asked the nurse was whether the sickness wasn’t a result of witchcraft. The nurse confirmed her that goiter is not a result of witchcraft. So they told her that her sickness can be cured if she under goes surgery. She is praying that a Good Samaritan comes for her rescue.

- Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
- Notes
- Ida went to Bupeni and taught about Loving others. She asked the community to name the people they love.
This is what they listed, wives, husbands, children, parents, siblings, pastors, presidents etc. Ida asked the community give reasons as to why they loved those people. The majority said that they expect something back.
Ida asked one member to read from Luke 10:25-37
After the reading, Rose said that the love which is in the story is for Samaritans and Jews, but not for poor people in Bupeni, they must help those who will help them in return. Musone Sam said that the Bible says that there is no Jew or Samaritan, we are all God’s children.
Ida also asked about some important people that the community didn’t mention, do they have them in the village or no.
Which important people? Mawazi asked.
Ida mentioned the following; The poor, sick, children, orphans, lame, AIDS victims, old, drunkards, etc.
Sam said that they have them but can’t help them because they will never pay them back.
Suzan said that Bupeni should love like the Good Samaritan who helped whole heartedly without expecting anything. People should see the difference between them and others, Bupeni must be the example to other villages, They must be the Good Samaritans in the village helping the vulnerable people.
Namwase asked if she must love her co-wife, Ida gave her the exact of two co-wives in the Bible and one called Hannah gave a very good example. To let God do his will not to fight with her co-wife. It’s not our responsibility to judge the co-wives but ask God to lead, show us the way to take and how to love our enemies.
The community was happy and encouraged. One lady confessed that she has taken one year without greeting/ talking to her co- wife but nothing has changed except the husband loving the co-wife most. She promised to go and show her love and her children because she has now seen the light through Kibo. There is nothing to loose when you love your enemies but God is glorified through the process.
