- Notes
- Harriet had made an appointment with the CDO of Buhemba Sub County at the District and discuss with her Kibo activities in Sinde/ Namayombe village and also encourage her to go the village and see what Kibo has done on ground.
This was intended for her to prove so that she can recommend Kibo to the District to renew its activities certificate and memorandum of understanding.
Unfortunately when Harriet reached at the District she had already left and she contacted her through the phone call and they agreed to meet at the Buhemba Sub County. She headed to the sub county but the CDO was still on her way. She later came with brushes after being involved in a motor cycle accident. Harriet counseled her and encouraged her to seek for medication because the incident may look minor yet she has been internally injured.
Harriet shared with her what Kibo has so far done in Sinde/Namayombe Sub County, and these were water sanitation and hygiene program, Mvule community development program, Healthy and Safe kitchen program as well as Health and spiritual empowerment program. She proved this by showing her some of the activities photo from Sinde that she had taken on her iPad.Harriet also listed down the community leaders names that she is actively working with on ground while implementing Kibo activities.
The CDO told Harriet that her self with some other government officials needs to plan to go with her Sinde and witness Kibo activities so that she will base on that to write a recommendation letter for Kibo to the District Community Development Officer for the renewal of the District work certificate and memorandum of understanding .
The CDO also told Harriet that Kibo needs to submit impact assessment report showing how Kibo activities have benefited the community with activity photo.
She also said that even the government triggered Namayombe and it was the best village as far as sanitation and hygiene is concerned. This could be because Kibo triggered there and taught about sanitation and hygiene.
They concluded by agreeing that on Monday 12th November 2018.
