Anger Lesson 1: What is anger?
Notes
Ida went to Kitukiro and introduced Anger management lesson. Ida asked the community to define the word “Anger “ Gonza said that becoming mad, and Faebe said that it’s fighting. Ida asked those who have ever been angry to raise their hands and all people raised hands. Ida reminded the community that it is normal to become angry but harmful to stay angry, in your anger do not sin psalm 4:4 and Ephesians 4:29. Ida defined what Anger is. It a complicated human response. And is composed of biological reactions, thoughts, interpretation of feelings, decisions and habits. Sometimes people are angry with God which is not wrong if expressed properly. In the OT(Old Testament) book of Job, Job was very angry with God. Zubeda asked if their is medicine for Anger somewhere. Ida asked the community to answer the question. One member said that the medicine for Anger to manage it. Paul said that forgiveness is the only medicine. Nabirye asked how can one manage anger when is short tempered? Ida told them that the following few times we will be learning how to handle anger. When managing anger, four categories must be considered important. 1. Gynes 2. Group 3. Guide lines 4. Goals These are called the 4Gs. A. Gynes this is the way God made us. Some are short, tall, black, short tempered, long tempered etc . B, Group this has to do with mother, father, children and the extended family. C. Guide lines. These are laws we follow in different communities, eg schools, villages, families, institutions, governments, countries etc have guide lines. D. Goals Every person has goals, if one has no goal then no reason to live. Learning how to handle anger is essential for anyone endeavoring to exhibit. We must learn better and healthier ways to exercise our emotions.
