community meeting
Abraham met eight Kiteigalwa community leaders and the reason was to get a list of those who were given group money in form of loans whereby some members have been complaining that the leaders used the group money. The meeting was opened by a word of prayer led by the Imam of the Sun. Abraham advised the leaders not to hold on what happen in the last government elections of local council one because politics is always a dirty game. He told them to remember where they came from, where they are now and where they are going. He asked them to emphasize on how they are going to get the money from the members and then they will have a general meeting where they will tell the members who has the group loan, how much and when they are hoping to bring back. Abraham said that they have to do this with love because this is all about Kiteigalwa community. Mr Mumbya Mawazi who is the chairman of group A brought all the records of those who were given the money and names were read. The chairman for helping members with problem like death said that they collected two million and fifty thousand shillings but they have been helping members who lose their dear ones with eighty thousand shillings and now they have one million left in the bag. They are hoping to open up a group account because they can not keep such big money in the house. They used some money to buy bricks and sand for their clinic. They all decided that the secretary has to arrange the list properly and they hope to have a general meeting where they are going to tell the meeting that the leaders did not use the group money but it is in the members themselves.

Next Visit: 2018-12-05 - Purpose: To meet all members and they will be told who has a group loan and when are they hoping to bring back.
