The village has worked greatly to meet this sanitation status and still pushing to get the remaining individuals meet the standards. This village is one of the hardest community to work with known in the district because of it’s slow response amongst the village people.
Village Critical Needs
There is still need for clean water because many people are getting water from a shallow well having unsafe water for drinking and also walking a long distance.
Village Action Steps
To encourage themselves to attend meetings whenever they are called to attend. Also to make sure the remaining individuals meet the standards required.
Staff Action Steps
To go back and continue following up the remaining few homes that have not met the hygiene standards to do so and continue water meetings preparing the community before the borehole survey and drilling.

Notes
Alex, the parish chief and the sanitation committee led by Basoga Wilson first moved in the community checking on the progress of the 15 homes that haven’t met the standards from the third evaluation that was conducted in this village. It shows that 92% of the village have pit latrines and use them while 8% of the homes haven’t completed. They visited Mutoto, Yafusa Magemeso, Kutyabami James, Boyi Muzamiru and Mainogovu and they were busy working on their new pits. Alex and the parish chief encouraged them to work fast because their deadline got over. Alex together with the parish chief went to the meeting place where they met a group of community members waiting for them. Alex officially told the village that Kibo had considered to give them a new well in their village. However this would take place if also the 15 homes remaining meet their standards and the village meets the 100% mark that the well shall be drilled. The parish chief also reminded the village people that clean water is considered clean if only the homes using this water are clean having all the required sanitation facilities. He also promised that he would together with the village leaders follow up on these few people to make sure they also meet the standards. He vowed that the few people that are still behind won’t take away such a precious opportunity making many suffer. Alex continued to also remind the village about the true Love Kibo group has for them and wanting everyone to live in a health village. The village people were encouraged to also love themselves and make sure their neighbors also have all the required facilities in place. Together they discussed through the community roles that have to be met by the village and a water committee to aid this process was selected by the community themselves. Alex told the village members that it was mandatory for the village to raise a borehole contribution of 300,000/= and looking after the workers by feeding them during this whole process of borehole construction of which the village agreed to do. Alex will go back to continue preparing the village before the well survey and follow up on those few people still having work to do.
