Notes
We split up into two groups, one group moved with David Balimunsi and the second group moved with Alex. They specifically went to those homes that are still yet to meet the required standards. Together with the village leaders, we are deciding to put our efforts together to encourage these people to work and meet the standards and will push all to meet the standards needed before a borehole is drilled in this village. 24% of the households still have to do more to improve in their homes and this accounts for 35 homes that are revealed in the third evaluation that was conducted recently This village is one that has taken Kibo a long time to get everyone understand the value of proper hygiene and sanitation because of its large size. On a very good note, the many of the homes have done very well and constructed facilities that meet the standards. This village also has got many standard dish racks seen than any other village. Alex with two village leaders visited a section in the trading center called mukinhole and talked to the people to complete digging the new pit and construct on it. Also he visited two homes near the health center of Kagulu to find out if they completed building their pit latrines and stop using the toilet for the health facility which they have been going to since and a good note one had completed building on his pit . We are going to make sure that this village and the remaining 35 homes all meet the required standards before a new borehole can be drilled. We will put our efforts together with the local leaders and continue encouraging those people to meet the standards. David’s section had also some positives seeing a newly completed pit latrine in place. We will continue to go back and follow up on these individuals to make sure they meet our standards.

Success
The trading center has worked and improved very greatly. There are always a lot of challenges working in trading centers but this one in particular has been very cooperative and now about 98% of the homes have got the pit latrines.

Water Access Explain
Two wells in Kagulu center are low yield and does not produce enough water for the community. It ends up that all the people end up on one working well making it congested and people spend a lot of time waiting to get water
