- Anger Lesson 4: Why in the world did I do that?
- Notes
- Ida went to Kitukiro and taught about how to handle anger. Gonza asked Ida to pause that he brings his phone to record the steps to handle anger. So they did some preview which was great.
These are the steps.
A. Acknowledge the anger
B. Control thoughts
C. Discern the causes of anger
D. Develop peace of mind.
a Acknowledge the anger. Accept that anger is a natural human emotion. Do not deny that you are angry.
b. Control thoughts. Problems with anger begin with thoughts of self pity, discouragement, jealousy or other negative thoughts.
c. Discern the cause of anger. Anger has a way of hiding behind many masks. A line can usually be drawn from anger to guilt, fear, trauma and pain.
d. Develop peace of mind. Holding back anger and taking time to work at changing anger responses develop a sense of control, patience and peace. We can become characterized by patience even when we are angry. We can have patience in spite of feelings of turmoil.
The community was happy and thanked Kibo for saving them from many problems that can result from anger.
