- David and Steven were in Nawandyo village upper section . Their intention of going there was to carry out the repair process of the borehole in there . The Kibo staff thought wisely by repairing the borehole in the upper section would reduce on the pressure from the two boreholes in Nawandyo A and B . At the village the Kibo staff found when the hand pump mechanic from the district mr kabugo along with all the water user committee members ,and village residents they had already removed the internal faulty borehole parts out of the borehole. David and Steven joined the H p M with his team at the borehole. The community members saw the new borehole parts and were so happy. Old men and women rejoiced by thanking Kibo for the great heart of giving. After all that David showed the members the new parts which were bought for them to replace the faulty ones which in the borehole. These were the new parts ,the head assembly,rods,cylinder and bolts. David and Steven along with mr kabugo fixed back all the new part to replace the old ones. They tested the flow of the water after the whole repair process. And the flow of the water hard increased than before . When the village residents realized that success they celebrated. Therefore David requested mr kabugo to demonstrate for them the rightful ways of pumping the borehole. The H p M demonstrated the two ways of pumping,that is the good ways and bad ways . The Kibo staff advised the community members to always lock up their borehole at night to avoid the miss use of it . They were advised to take full ownership and total care of their borehole by always continuing contributing towards their borehole account. Because the village had contributed 300000 shillings towards their borehole account and 50000 shillings were deducted and given to the hand pump mechanic as his labour fee . Yet the entire process had costed the Kibo 950000 shillings towards the buying of the new parts. Therefore they were advised to continue contributing towards their borehole account for the future sustainability of their borehole. In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the entire village they had maintained the required standards. Because of the limited time factor the David and Steven left the village in total joy and happiness.
