- Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
- Notes
- Ida went to Bupeni to teach about “The Tongue “
She asked if they all knew what the Tongue is. Most of them said that it’s the language and some few pulled out their tongues and showed Ida.
Muwereza said that it’s a holy/evil spirit language which people can’t understand.
Ida told them that all the answers they gave were right according to whoever gave it, but they were going to talk about the small organ in the mouth between the upper jaw and the lower jaw.
She asked Mubbuli to read from James 3:2-12.
After the lesson Ida told the story of the five rats, how each came with a different observation and only the last one who took time and examined properly , came back with the whole picture and real thing that had blocked the road.
Most of us tend to hear phrases but not the whole sentence or story which in the end brings chaos. We must think before we say anything. Many problems have been caused by the Tongue and if we had used them carefully, all that is caused might have been prevented.
Ida gave them each one three sieves to use before uttering a word.
These below are the sieves
1. Is it true?
2. Is it worth?
3. Will it unite
All these three questions must be asked before saying anything, if the story passes through all three then tell it but if what you want to tell don’t pass through even one sieve, never say anything until Jesus comes back.
They were very happy for the lesson touched them and thanked Kibo for the life lessons. Ida announced that Kibo will go for Christmas and New year holidays till January 8th. Ida wished them a merry Christmas and a happy new year. They didn’t want to leave going back home but Ida left because it started drizzling..
