Notes
Enock went to the sub-county before heading to the village. He picked the sub-county health inspector and the police officer to go together and continue encouraging, teaching, evaluating and assessing the progress of latrine construction in most of the homes that have been so stubborn without latrines completed and also, visit the homes that are still digging and constructing new latrines. They managed to walk in more than forty homes and saw how the residents are progressing with the digging of new latrines. like in the home of Mr Sam kiiza whose home for a very longtime he didn’t have a latrine. He constructed a new latrine plus a dish rack. There are also four new latrines well dug and already constructed with bricks and cement . There are some homes that have embraced the program so well and worked so hard to construct strong latrines and maintaining all the facilities so well. The use of ash is going on well in homes, this is also encouraging the kids and elders in homes to wash there hands after visiting the latrine and using ash. Enock was so impressed when he met a family of kisige Juma which didn’t have a latrine but has finally dug and constructed a latrine in his home. Enock encouraged him to smear, and taught him the importance of ash in the latrine as he demonstrated to them how to do it. Enock asked them a question how they felt having a latrine, they responded and said they are so happy and they can never run away again. The wife was so appreciative for the great work and many people are also thankful to kibo for coming and teaching them.
