- This community specifically asked Ida to teach them how to mix feeds for broilers.Broilers take eight weeks only .But much care and time is needed when raring broilers.One must be available most times and must love their job.
It is better to mix ones own feeds than buying the already mixed to avoid loses. The people who sell the already mixed feeds don't mind of their customers,they mind of getting much profits. They put less ingredients which leads to loss at the end.
When one buys these ingredients themselves,it stops all the worries of buying feeds that are inadequate. There only two types of feeds for broilers.
A. Broiler Starter
B. Broiler Finisher
Broiler starter is given to chics from day 1 to 4 weeks.
BROILER STARTER
Maize brand.................58kgs
Cotton seed cake........24kgs
Silver fish......................14kgs
Shells............................300gms
Pre-mix........................500gms
Salt...............................500gms
With broilers we can use soybeans instead of silver fish but soy has to be fried.
BROILER FINISHER
This is given to chics from 5th week to 8th week.

If one can't get cotton seed cake sunflower can do the same.
Bones can do the same thing as shells.
