Nabituluntu - Nabituluntu lower kibo borehole
Alex was in Nabituluntu to follow up on the 5 homes that were still missing some facilities when a final survey was conducted. He first moved the the upper section and met with the LC 1 Tulibagenyi.
They visited sooka’s family which was missing some facilities. On a good note, a new pit latrine was constructed in sooka’s home and his son too was told that he needed to construct his own pit Latrine and stop sharing a pit latrine with his father and yet he is married. He also moved in some other homes to make sure they are still maintaining the sanitation standards and some people were told to replace some facilities that had become very old. The upper borehole that was repaired by Kibo group was still working well and the water user committee was still active, however the fence had become very old and it needs to be fixed.
The New borehole in the lower part of the village was still maintained and the an active water user committee still doing a good job emphasizing that it is being taken good care of. Alex also visited some homes that had constructed new stoves and the people appreciated them very well as they were cooking very well way better than it used to be when they were cooking on three traditional stones. The women that learnt the skill have gone on to teach others how to build these stoves and make some money making for other people that want these stoves. Alex reminded all the leaders to keep encouraging their community members to maintain all these activities and maintaining the sanitation facilities and status
