Notes
Enock and Martin visited the trading center section near the main road to continue teaching, monitoring, assessing, evaluating and encouraging the residents who stay in these homes and those who rent to have proper sanitation facilities like latrine, dish rack, shower areas, rubbish pits which are so important and help to improve on the sanitation and hygiene of the community. Martin took the other side of the center then Enock also took the other side to be able to cover a big portion of the village. As they were walking, they met with the former LC3 who is working on the new latrine for the tenants who are renting in his house. He showed Enock his new pit and he is to bring brick and cement during the course of the week to start constructing. They were so impressed to see the LC3s home having a new latrine. Most of the people in the center are working on new rubbish pits, dish racks new pit latrines are emerging. The use of ash was embraced and emphasized in all the homes as they demonstrated in some latrines to show how flies run away and reduce the bad smell. These homes in the trading center were target homes, which for long promised to have latrines. In these homes, the good news is they found 3 new latrines , Enock encouraged their wives to smear and dig rubbish pits as the men are constructing dish racks and building proper structures on the latrines and shower areas.
