- Notes
- Enock and Martin visited this village to check in the latrines constructed due to the spell off effect from igerera B village which we triggered awhile back. As they reached, they first meet with the Chairman LC1 and VHTs to talk about the upcoming triggering session which will take place. We talked about open defection, dangers as well as we shared some data collected from the previous visits in the baseline survey. We are planing to carry out triggering on 15th of March. After agreeing on the date, they walked around to continue mobilizing, monitoring the progress of latrine construction and encouraging the community members to come for the general meeting where the kibo Wash team will trigger in open defecation and emphasize good sanitation and hygiene facilities. There is a gentleman who has invested a lot of money in his latrine, the latrine was well constructed with brick, cement and gravel slab and he roofed the structure with iron sheets. This was a very good example of good standard facility. This gentleman has portrayed as a good leader. His latrine looks very good even better than his house he lives in. The community is getting ready for the upcoming meeting and willing to learn from the Wash stuff during the triggering session
