Notes
Enock and Martin visited this village to continue with the evaluation survey in the homes that were not visited during the previous visit. They checked on latrines, shower areas, kitchen areas, dish racks, hand washing facilities, rubbish pits and others. In the area they walked, there were some new facilities, some are maintaining them and the others have constructed good standard latrines. Although some of the families lost their latrines due to heavy rainfall and strong winds, they have managed to dig new latrine pits on their own and already constructing new ones to replace the broken ones. This shows that people have learnt the values and benefits of having latrines and using them unlike before when they used to go to bushes around. During the evaluation survey, they came up to the old gentleman’s home called Mr Yoswa Wagaimanga who has already constructed a new latrine and it has the best latrine structure in the village. Enock appreciated the great work and taught him the importance of using ash in the latrine as well. There are many people who have no dish racks at the moment, they had them before but now they are all broken. They Were encouraged to make strong dish racks and using strong poles.

696 This a new latrine and it’s the best latrine constructed in this village. The old Man is called Mr Yoswa wagaimanga. He was super excited to have a new latrine, he told me to take his picture with his wife and after bring him a copy. He didn’t have a latrine before.
