Mvule Community Development
Alex B,Falon when they arrived Bukudumira ,they went to the home of Peter who is a step grand father of the grandchild ( with epilepsy)in the hospital. They found the wife at home with the two children eating food. This is because Peter requested kibo staff to find out for him how his family is doing since for him is in the hospital attending to his step grand child and has been away for two weeks.
Peter’s wife reported that her son was sick and she took him to nearby medical clinic and was given treatment. She said that the child is better now. We also looked at the child who looked a bit healthy, happy and was eating .The wife told Alex B and Falon that she is ready to stay at home as the husband takes care of their grandchild in the hospital.
Alex B and Falon proceeded to the meeting place where they found some members waiting for them. They had an opening prayer that was led by Frank one of the members. Swaibu Kigoolo said that the chairperson Margaret Waiswa lost relative and had gone to the funeral therefore will not be able to attend the meeting. He also said that some members went with her since the community members are related in one way to another.
They discussed about the group garden project and Kigoolo said that they are to plough the land immediately when rains starts. He also reported about opening group bank account, the chairperson had the details about it.
Alex B advised the members to do the ploughing so that they are not late for the planting season. He also told them to avail themselves without being compelled to go and work at their garden. The members promised that since the ploughing is done by them there is need for everyone in the group participate for the good of their project.
The members together with Alex B and Falon also looked at the Mvule tree for one member Mwajuma to see how it was doing. They found out that the tree was healthy and good looking and the members wanted her to tell them the trick she used to rise her tree very well. She told them that despite the dry season for her she kept on watering her tree so it never lacked water during the dry season and she did it twice a day that is morning and evening. Alex also advised the group to always seek advice from others members whose trees are doing well.
