A survey was done and a potential site for water was got. However it’s proved by the surveyor to be a tricky village to find a site that can give plenty of water. It took along time before the surveyor landed one point that is potential for water drilling. The village people participated positively and all cooperated to the end, one man was trying to disorganize the group but his fellow village men approached him quickly and told him not to disorganize the surveying program. Usually such people that do come to interrupt this process don’t want to come meetings when a village is being prepared. Eventually when the surveyor broke the news to the village about a point that had been decided, everyone was very happy and the owner of the land where the borehole is to be drilled was extremely happy to give out part of his land to drill a borehole. A Land agreement will have to be signed by all the authorities named before the drilling takes place. Out of the many points that were surveyed moving in all the places, point number 3 was considered with highest potential for water drilling. After the survey , Alex told the water user committee and the LC committee members to continue working together to contribute all the funds needed. Also this is another motivation thing that the village wasn’t expecting from Kibo group in the beginning and Alex called on everyone that they should maintain their sanitation facilities always because that is the most important thing that everyone has to accept because clean water can never be called clean if the village is dirty, that’s why Kibo considers Sanitation and hygiene as very important before addressing the water issue. Kibo will continue to encourage all the homes to maintain all their sanitation facilities during this rain season. On a very good note the village has worked very hard to be ready for this step and the sanitation committee is always told to keep up the spirit reminding the village to maintain their sanitation facilities. Alex will go back to meet with the village about the importance of land agreement and finish up preparing it before the borehole drilling takes place. Currently the contractor is doing some work in Kaliro district and they will be ready for the drilling in Kagulu.
