Notes
Abraham left Jinja at around 10 am to go to Kiteigalwa village and on the way to the village it rained hard last night whereby the swamps were flooding and it was hard to reach. He reached the village and the LC1 of the village told him that they lost one of the elders in the village and the burial is today, Abraham told him that next time if they have such a problem they need to inform him in time so that they may change the date if possible. There was a group of nineteen members who came and Abraham introduced to them the idea of them opening a group account because it will help them to keep group money safe, he gave the example of the burial committee who are keeping two million shillings for the group and it is risk to keep such amount of money in the house. The good thing the treasurer of that committee was around who said that it is really difficult to have such amount of money kept in the house. The members who were present liked the idea and they said it is good to have all the members to support it and then they will put it in action. Abraham encouraged the members to mobilize for the next meeting and also to be ambassador of the other members in order for them to come to the next meeting with ideas. One member in the group brought a suggestion to support the family of the old man who passed away even if he was not a member of the group because the family is not okey financially and the all members present supported the idea and said they will be ambassador of others because what they doing is good for the community. The chairman of group A said that if the rest will not support the idea he will pay the money back to the group. They told the burial treasurer to withdraw one hundred thousand shillings so that they can take that money to support the family. Abraham and the group proceeded to encourage the family of the old man and politicians took long time talking and he left the village at around 4 pm to come back to Jinja.
