- Notes
- Suzan went to the village to monitor the progress of the healthy and safe kitchen program facilities, but when she arrived there, she met some community members who informed her of a sudden death of one of their members that had taken place in the previous night within the village, and for that case most of them were organizing to go for a burial ceremony that day.
Suzan felt sorry for their loss and requested if she would accompany them to the home so that they mourned together since the intended activity that day wouldn’t take place. The members accepted and together they left for the burial function which was a bit far from the trading center. Many members were already there with some actively participating in cooking, fetching water and washing dishes. They happily welcomed Suzan saying that was very kind of Kibo group to always show them love in times of happiness and sorrow.
Quietly some committee members updated Suzan about the program activities and how far they had gone, saying that most members had improved on their hygiene and sanitation and also repaired some of their facilities like building strong drying racks and smearing their houses and energy saving stoves. Without wasting much of their time, Suzan thanked them for the good work carried out so far and encouraged them to always continue with the same spirit for a better healthy living.
The committee members together with Suzan agreed on the date and time that the next meeting would take place since that day wasn’t convenient enough for them to move around visiting home to home while monitoring the program facilities.
Suzan then wished them a happy stay and left the village.
