Notes
Harriet made a surprise visit to Naisamula and this was intended to find out whether participants use stoves on daily basis basis, their home facilities are well smeared so that she can fix some challenges incase of any. She reached in the village when it had just stoped raining. She walked through the homes of some participants looking at their stoves. She reached 15 homes and found out it that most participants were cooking on their stoves on their stoves on daily basis and this was evidenced by the absence of three stones fire and finding food cooking by itself. Also as far as smearing of their facilities is concerned most people had smeared their kitchens and stoves.During the inspection Harriet came a cross one home for Namwanje Joan where by her kitchen was full of smoke which forced her to enter in the kitchen to find out why there was smoke. She found when the vent for smoke was blocked with a stone and no one knew what happened. She removed the stone, explained to Joan and the stove started letting out smoke immediately. It was also interesting to find Kawala making pan cakes on her stove for business and she is able to get some money to support her family. She said that she not worried of fire accidents since fire is contained inside.
