- Notes
- David was in the village to continue encouraging the homes which were lagging behind as far as their sanitation improvements so that they would get improved. While David was in village he was joined by mr wakiso and lubale the two active members on the sanitation committee. They led David to the different homes which were still lagging behind. In mr Wakasanke,s home they found when the kitchen he had recently maintained was down due to the heavy rains. Mr wakasanke was advised by David to maintain and improve on his kitchen which was affected by the rains. He promised David that he will be improving on his kitchen in one weeks time.
David and the two sanitation committee members also moved towards mr kakayire’s home who is the village chairman. They visited the five homes which were left still in the process of digging their latrine pits .David was so happy to find that all the five homes had finished their latrine pits . However David encouraged the owners of the five pits to use strong construction materials for the sustainability of their latrine. They also moved to mis Namukasa’s zone the area Vht .David found when all the homes had improved but the only challenge was in some few homes which had dish racks which were not meeting the standards.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation standards of the entire village was improving. Except for the few homes whose facilities were not meeting the set standards.
