- Notes
- Ida went to Budhumba and taught about a Bible lesson “Loving others “
She asked the community to list people they love. The list was long and these are the people they love, parents, children, husbands, wives, pastors, teachers, workmates, grandparents, friends, etc
Ida asked Otim to read from Luke 10:25-32
After the reading, Ida asked who is your neighbor and how do you show love to them? Joan said that she has neighbors but those who can help her too.
Okirol said that helping sometimes results into hatred.
According to the reading, what can we learn from the Good Samaritan?
Kwebiha said that to give and not expect anything. Suzan said that to give to the people we don’t know.
Namusuubo said that the Good Samaritan was incredible! All of us give to people who will pay us back.
Ida encouraged the community to love those who are hard to love eg the orphans, drunkards, sick(AIDS) co- wives, widows, elderly, lepers and the poor.
We are to love those who can’t love us back.
